Arbor-Tek Ltd was formed in 2003 by Joe Berryman and Bernie Jordan. Joe trained in England and has 30 years arboricultural experience with advanced level 4 certification. Bernie has 10 years experience as a qualified line mechanic and Phil has 20 years also with advanced level 4 certification. Together the team asserts unrivalled experience as the leading Arboricultural Company in Canterbury, NZ.
Arbor-Tek Ltd now have 10 employees, and also have the necessary machinery to be able to carry out the many services that we offer, which show that tree care and health is our priority.
All our senior staff are qualified arborists. We aim to have the most experienced staff who are available to us, but we also actively encourage young people into our industry, offering training opportunities.

Bernie Jordan – Director & Line Mechanic
Certified Line Mechanic – Bernie has 28 years experience as a qualified power line mechanic with 28 years, as well as 10 years advanced tree work.
Joe Berryman – Director & Arborist
Certificate 4 in Arboriculture – Joe has 30 years experience as a qualified arborist, training in England where he worked in the industry for ten years before returning to New Zealand.
Phil Barlow – Arborist/Supervisor
Advanced Certificate 4 in Arboriculture & a National Certificate in Horticulture, Phil has worked in the industry for 20 years.
Rosalie Thompson – Office Manager
When we need contracts signed, council approval or the power cut to premises, Rosalie is our rock solid administrator dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.
