History
“When you think of an arborist, the image of a burly woodsman striding into the forest with an axe slung over his shoulder springs to mind. Not so today, Arbor-Tek combines the skills of qualified arborists with the latest mechanical equipment.” Arbor-Tek Ltd was formed in 2003 by Joe Berryman and Bernie Jordan. Joe trained in England and has 35 years arboricultural experience with advanced level 4 certification. Bernie has been in the Electricity Distribution Lines Industry for 40 years. Seventeen of these years have been as a Business Partner and Director of Arbor-Tek Ltd. Together the team asserts unrivalled experience as one of the leading Arboricultural Companies in Canterbury, NZ. Arbor-Tek Ltd now have 16 employees, and also have the necessary machinery to be able to carry out the many services that we offer, which show that tree care and health is our priority. All our senior staff are qualified arborists. We aim to have the most experienced staff who are available to us, but we also actively encourage young people into our industry, offering training opportunities.

Safety
We follow industry safe work practices and all staff are traffic management qualified. We are fully insured and all our staff are either qualified or in training.

Joe Berryman – Director & Arborist
Certificate 4 in Arboriculture – Joe has over 35 years experience as a qualified arborist, training in England where he worked in the industry for ten years before returning to New Zealand.
Bernie Jordan – Director & Utility Arborist
Bernie has 17 years experience as a qualified utility arborist.
